Conferentie: "IMI and the Services Directive – Releasing the full potential", 27 januari 2011 (Brussel)

Wist u dat meer dan 5700 Europese overheden geregistreerd zijn op het Interne Markt Informatiesysteem (IMI)? Wist u dat meer dan 5200 onder hen actief zijn in gebieden die vallen onder de Dienstenrichtlijn? En wist u dat IMI leidt tot kortere procedures en minder papierwerk voor dienstverleners?

Om terug te kijken op het eerste jaar IMI onder de dienstenrichtlijn en aanbevelingen te formuleren voor de toekomst, nodigt de Europese Commissie u uit op een conferentie "IMI and the Services Directive – Releasing the full potential" op 27 januari 2011 in Brussel.

Background information
The Internal Market Information (IMI) system is an electronic tool that allows a quicker and more reliable information exchange between administrations across Europe. Developed by the European Commission in close cooperation with Member States, it supports the day-to-day administrative cooperation between public administrations in the application of internal market legislation.
Since December 2009, IMI has been used to exchange information on service providers and their activities under the so-called Services Directive (Directive 2006/123/EC). The objective of the Services Directive is to facilitate life for service providers and recipients by removing legal and administrative barriers to the development of service activities between Member States.
